We now have our very own profile on Digg. Check us out at digg.com/users/lateshowuk. We’ll be digging articles we like online ourselves to that profile and we have also added the “Digg This” capability to the bottom of all our news posts at lateshowuk.com.
Just click on any post on our website and scroll down to the bottom of that post page to find the Digg button – click it to submit the article to Digg. Check out our Communities & Networking page here at Late Show UK too. We’ve recently updated the layout of our MySpace page so check that out.

Late Show UK now have a Flickr account at www.flickr.com/lateshowuk. At the moment, you can view an extensive gallery of my New York photos from my visit there last October, including photos that haven’t previously been posted on our site. I’ve taken out any pictures of myself so you don’t have to worry about that. ;-)

It’s better late than never – I’ve got the main video of my New York visit from October last year edited and uploaded to YouTube. Sorry about the quality of the video – YouTube seems to compress everything. I’ve embedded the video below in two separate clips. These video clips can also be found on the Video Clips page, on our YouTube channel, or on the Late Show UK In New York page.

We now provide Saturday Night Live guest listings and some other details about the programme. Saturday Night Live content is now available on the Guest Listings page and the Where To Watch page. Airdates in Guest Listings are for the US. UK audiences can see Saturday Night Live on ITV4 on a delay, which varies – as do their airtimes, so check your TV listings every week.
13th March Update: Saturday Night Live On ITV4 Is No More

The Upcoming Shows box (for UK airings) on the sidebar has now been updated to include more shows. The Colbert Report and the Late Late Show are not included as they don’t currently air on UK TV. Shows included in the Upcoming Shows box are;
- Late Show With David Letterman (Diva TV)
- The Tonight Show With Jay Leno (CNBC)
- Late Night With Conan O’Brien (CNBC)
- The Daily Show With Jon Stewart (More 4)
- Friday Night With Jonathan Ross (BBC1)

To sign the petition to get The Colbert Report on UK television, please click here.
This is a petition to show UK audiences want to see The Colbert Report on TV over here. The Colbert Report follows The Daily Show in the US. More 4 currently air The Daily Show on their channel, so The Colbert Report would make an ideal follow-on programme, as The Daily Show is always referencing The Colbert Report in their programme and at the end of the show (although this is sometimes edited out). Please sign this petition to show there’s a fanbase for the show in the UK.
Please also go to our Petitions page to find the link for our other petitions.

This is a petition created to show there’s a fanbase for the Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson in the UK. We would like to raise awareness that people living in the UK would love to see this programme via cable, Sky or Freeview. We are calling on television broadcasters to consider airing the show on their channels. Diva TV currently airs the Late Show With David Letterman, so it would be ideal if they could air the Late Late Show as well.
Please also go to our Petitions page to find the link for our CNBC Europe petition.

As the launch date of Diva TV gets even closer (25 days to go according to our countdown in the sidebar), news has emerged of a timeshifted version of the channel, which is said to launch on the same day as the normal version (1st October). Diva TV and Diva TV +1 will be available on Sky, but will probably not be available on Virgin Media from launch. Having the +1 version of Diva TV will mean Letterman fans can watch the Late Show at either 9pm (on the normal version) or at 10pm (on the +1 timeshifted version) – or watch it twice! The source for this is here. Diva TV is an NBC Universal / Sparrowhawk Media channel.

We’ve had some official news through from Sparrowhawk Media, who’ll be launching their new channel Diva TV on the 1st October featuring the Late Show With David Letterman. They say they will “be showing episodes anything 2-6 weeks after tx in the US (depending on the delivery of tapes from the distributors)” and they’ll “run shows 5 days a week at 9pm”. Sparrowhawk Media also states “for the time being it will be on Sky only” but they’re “hoping for carriage on Virgin Media in the near future”. The show will air in 4:3 format. The 9pm timeslot sounds fantastic – certainly miles better than ITV2 and ITV4’s late night (early morning) airings – let’s hope they can secure Virgin Media carriage.

Updated 28/07/2007 – A posting by Credit Broadcast Magazine reveals a new channel from Sparrowhawk Media (who own and run the Hallmark channel) will be showing the Late Show With David Letterman when it launches in the UK later this year. The channel will be called Diva TV and will be initially available on Sky. The channel launches on the 1st October. This is fantastic news for Letterman fans in the UK, as it means those with Sky can easily watch the show every night – providing they put it on at a regular timeslot at an earlier time than ITV4 did. It’s not clear whether Diva TV will launch on other platforms – such as cable platform, Virgin Media – but we certainly hope it does. In addition to the Late Show, Diva TV have also acquired the rights for the Oprah Winfrey Show and Rachael Ray (also both from CBS). Diva TV is going to be aimed towards female viewers, so we’re not sure how well the Late Show will fit into the schedules – but it’s great news to have him back on UK TV. More news on this as and when it’s released.

A really quick post – did you know you can get RSS feeds for each category here on the blog? All you need to do is add feed on the end of a URL, for example;
http://www.lateshowuk.com/category/shows/late-show/feed/
Add that to your RSS reader, and get all the posts made to the Late Show category. RSS is fantastic and we’re working hard to bring more feeds to the site and making them easier to find. If there’s a feed you want, please leave a comment on this post or contact us. A great feed reader is Google Reader.
Update: There’s now an even quicker way to subscribe to our main feed. In Internet Explorer, click the feed icon in the toolbar. In Firefox, click the feed icon in the address bar. In Safari, click the RSS icon in the address bar. This feed contains all posts.

July proves to be a packed month here on Late Show UK. Coming this month to the website – weekend roundups of the Late Show With David Letterman and audio podcasts. The roundups will be published every weekend (except when there’s reruns, of course), and will cover everything that’s been happening on the Late Show that week – guests, jokes, etc.
The podcasts will compliment these weekly roundups of the Late Show – the podcasts will cover everything that’s been going on that week on all the big shows, including guests and will also discuss what’s coming up on the shows, and any relevant news. Podcasts will be available at www.lateshowuk.com/podcasts, and will eventually be available on iTunes – all for free.
The first Late Show roundup will be on the 14th/15th July and audio podcasts will be launching around the same time.
