Just like the second week of Ventriloquist Week not long ago, the Late Show is now bringing us a second dose of Impressionist Week. Following the success of the original Impressionist Week, next week (30th April to 4th May) sees more impressionists come to the Ed Sullivan Theatre. Next week’s ventriloquists are Rob Magnotti (on Monday), John Byner (on Tuesday), Mike MacRae (on Wednesday), Joe Piscopo (on Thursday) and Reggie Reg (on Friday). Dave dropped by on “Live With Regis And Kelly” last Thursday to greet Regis back to television, following Regis’ heart surgery. This was a very rare occasion where Dave has appeared on another TV show – he usually stays on the Late Show and doesn’t appear anywhere else. But – as Regis and Dave are good friends, and as Dave went through heart surgery himself not that long ago – he made an exception and put in a superb appearance on “Live With Regis And Kelly”. It included a bizarre segment where Dave and Regis were comparing leg scars. Someone on YouTube (www.ourdailyripa.com) has uploaded segments of the show – links below.

Regis Philbin is returning to Live With Regis And Kelly (or as David Letterman would call it – “Regis Lee And Kelly Lee”) tomorrow (26th April), and Dave will be dropping by to wish him well. This will mark Regis’ return to TV, following his recent heart bypass surgery. Dave can relate to heart surgery, of course, as he went through it himself not so long ago. This will be a rare TV show appearance, as Dave isn’t usually seen on-screen outside of the Late Show programme.

CBS’s new venture – the CBS Interactive Audience Network – has been announced. This new venture means video content will be featured on AOL, Microsoft (through MSN Video), CNET Networks, Comcast, Joost, Bebo, Brightcove, Netvibes, Sling Media (including on the SlingPlayer software), and Veoh. The CBS Interactive Audience Network content will be powered by Akamai Technologies. Video content on the media delivery system will include the Late Show With David Letterman, CSI, Survivor, the CBS Evening News, and also some classic programmes. The content will also appear on Amazon, Apple and Yahoo! – for which CBS already had existing deals with. The most promising thing about this is they say – on the CBS article – “both clips and full-length content” will ”be available in the United States and Internationally”. And they also say “all content will be available domestically with select clips and full-length sports programming distributed worldwide”. All content will be free, and will be supported by adverts. The full details of this new venture are available online at the CBS Corporation website – www.cbscorporation.com/news/prdetails.php?id=2003
