CBS Mobile has announced a deal with Verizon in the US, which means American mobile phone customers will be able to watch full episodes of the Late Show With David Letterman and the Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson on their mobile phones for the first time. Starting from today (Tuesday 21st), full episodes will be available through the V Cast on-demand service on phones (streaming video). Various short clips from Letterman and Craig Ferguson will also be available. An article on PR Newswire states “Starting Tuesday, each night’s full program of LATE SHOW and LATE LATE SHOW will be presented in a series of video shorts so that customers can catch their favorite late night hosts — even if they are on-the-go with just a few minutes to spare. Broadcasts are available to V CAST subscribers following their nightly CBS broadcasts and will remain accessible until the following night’s broadcasts replace them”. No news on a worldwide service yet.

An article on HappyNews.com says there’ll be another interesting stunt out on 53rd Street to look forward to on tonight’s Late Show (Monday 20th - US airdate). The website says “Jeff Clay will resurrect his car hurdling talents, as he hurdles 3 cars in a row on 53rd Street behind The Late Show’s Ed Sullivan Theater”. The website also says “Clay discovered he was able to hurdle the family car - both width-wise and length-wise! His self-esteem was boosted - and many people were complimenting him on his new-found abilities”. Read more here - and tune into the Late Show to see the stunt in action. Should be entertaining.
Update 28/08/2007 - Video now available from CBS’s YouTube channel.
