Stephen Colbert is about to go into space (sort of). The host of The Colbert Report has won a competition to have part of the International Space Station named after him.
The Guardian says “space scientists had urged the public to select Serenity as the name of the third new living room aboard the orbiting outpost to match the existing Unity and Harmony modules… but Nasa may have to name it Colbert instead after almost a quarter of a million fans voted”.
The chosen name for the third new living room on the International Space Station is “Colbert”. Nasa has the right to overturn the naming decision though, so nothing’s for certain yet. Watch this space (see what I did there?).
The Guardian – “US comedian Stephen Colbert reaches for the stars…”

David Letterman told a true story on the Late Show back in September 2003 about his encounter with a grizzly bear at his ranch in Montana.
Some smart folks over at the official Late Show With David Letterman website have made a web-exclusive animation to go with the classic story.
It really is hilarious – especially the part where it depicts Dave’s dog bowl as belonging to “Regis” and the bit at the end where they reveal the identity of the bear.
