David Letterman will return to his old university on the 17th September.
He’ll appear at Ball State University as part of “the David Letterman Distinguished Professional Lecture and Workshop Series” with Twitter co-founder Biz Stone.
Letterman previously gave a speech at the university in 2007 when they opened a new Communications building named after him.
The Daily Show With Jon Stewart has won the “Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series” award at this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards.
Late Night host Jimmy Fallon hosted the ceremony this year and he did such a good job rumours are suggesting he’s being lined up to host the Academy Awards early next year.

The Graham Norton Show will move into the old Friday Night With Jonathan Ross timeslot.
BBC1 controller Jay Hunt revealed at the MediaGuardian Edinburgh International Television Festival the show will be on Friday nights at 10.35pm from October.
It was originally thought the BBC1 Friday night slot would remain free of talk shows until January next year.

David Letterman will be a guest on ABC’s The View on the 7th September. It’ll be interesting to see how he handles the hosts as he’s always made comments on his own programme that he’s not much of a fan of The View.
