Late Show Christmas show airs tomorrow night

The Late Show With David Letterman Christmas spectacular airs tomorrow night, Thursday 23rd December.

Amanda Peet will be on as the main interview.

Of course Jay Thomas will be there to tell his legendary Lone Ranger story & to throw some footballs at the Late Show Christmas tree meatball with Dave to see who comes out top this year.

Not forgetting the wonderful Darlene Love performing Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) at the end of the show.

More 4 to air Daily Show Global Edition only

The Daily Show with Jon Stewart has featured in More4’s schedule since launch in 2005. Aired at 8.30PM, the programme followed More4 News, which itself ended almost a year ago.

The Daily Show Global Edition features highlights from the week, with a specific introduction from Jon Stewart and an ‘International Moment of Zen’. Global Edition also aired on CNN International, but does not currently feature in the CNN International schedule in Europe.

According to Media Guardian, More4 will now air just The Daily Show Global Edition from next month. Several British guests have appeared on the programme this year, including Ricky Gervais, Tony Blair, Sting, Gordon Brown and Emma Thompson.

New channel Sofa Stars to air US talk shows

Electric Sofa Media are launching three TV channels next year. One will be a British film channel called Film GB, one will be an entertainment channel called Sofa Stars and the final channel will be a film channel called Sofa Screen.

Sofa Stars will be airing late night US talk shows at 11pm each night.

It’s not been announced which talk shows will air as of yet, but their website confirms they will be broadcast from 11pm and will be “shown the day after its American broadcast”.

Sofa Stars (along with the other new channels) will be available free-to-air on Sky, Freesat and other platforms.

The new channels will launch “in early 2011″ according to their website.

Conan talks to Larry King on CNN

Conan O’Brien has been speaking to Larry King on CNN about how he feels his new talk show is progressing on TBS, and also about whether he keeps in touch with other talk show hosts (i.e. Leno!).
