RSS Feeds
What’s an RSS feed?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. Put simply, publishers make a feed available with (often) frequently changing content. You use a feed reader to check this feed and inform you when something new has been added to it. For example, there is a feed for this website, and everytime something is added it appears at the top of the feed. If you “subscribe” - i.e. add it to your feed reader - you’ll see the updates everytime they’re made.
You can then read the new content in your feed reader, or follow the link to the site or article.
What’s a good feed reader to use?
There’s lots out there. Google Reader is excellent. Netvibes and Pageflakes make good personalised home pages (as does iGoogle). You can get ones which you install on your computer, mobile phones now have them and there are services which will email you when something is added to a feed.
Have a search around and find one that works well for your habits and the number of feeds you want to subscribe to.
What feeds does Late Show UK make available?
There is the main feed for all content - http://feeds.feedburner.com/LateShowUk.
You can also get RSS feeds for each category here on the blog. All you need to do is add /feed/ on the end of a category URL, for example;
