The First Lady of France, Carla Bruni, stopped by the Late Show With David Letterman earlier this week. Speaking of her duty of being First Lady, she said “it’s an honour. I just want to be good enough. I worry that I’m not good enough for France but I want to try my best because I like it”. When asked about US President-elect Barack Obama, she said “France is thrilled… I think the whole world is delighted”. Carla Bruni is married to Nicolas Sarkozy - the President of the French Republic. Carla Bruni-Sarkozy was also asked about current US President George W. Bush and if her husband and him got on. She said “they have to you know - there’s no choice”. She also sang on the show, which was broadcast exclusively on the CBS.com Late Show website.
