Writers strike - Late Show writers set up website
Posted: Thursday, 15th November 2007 at 10:35am by Paul
The writers for the Late Show With David Letterman - including Bill Scheft, Gerard Mulligan and Bob Borden - have set up a blog featuring their thoughts on the strike, and some pictures taken on the picket lines. LateShowWritersOnStrike.com has photos of Gerard Mulligan, Barbara Gaines, Pat Farmer - and Rupert Jee (from the Hello Deli) has been helping out. There’s a nice recipe for “WGA strike cookies” on the site. Late Show writer Matt Roberts is pictured handing out leaflets and flyers and says “hopefully the strike won’t last long enough for me to get good at this”. There are some pretty good photos on there - go and check it out at www.lateshowwritersonstrike.com. The site reminds us “there is a lot at stake with this strike and these are serious issues. The Late Show writers are on the picket lines every day they are scheduled. We are not making light of this situation. One way to get people to pay attention to the strike and its issues is through humor”. Thanks to ‘Tommy_tank’ over on the Digital Spy thread for pointing us in the direction of the site.
