Joaquin Phoenix returns to the Late Show next week

Joaquin Phoenix will return to the Late Show on Wednesday 22nd September for the first time since his bizarre interview with Dave in February 2009. A rerun of that 2009 show will air on Thursday 16th September in preparation for the new interview on the 22nd September.
It’s still unclear whether the whole shtick from 2009 was real or fake for his new film/mockumentary I’m Still Here. Will it be another case of “Joaquin, I’m sorry you couldn’t be here tonight” or will it be a normal interview?
