“Unforeseen circumstances” suspend Colbert production

Production of The Colbert Report on Comedy Central has been suspended for unknown reasons.
The Huffington Post reports audience members with tickets for yesterday’s taping were told via email of the cancellation “due to unforeseen circumstances”.
The shows for the remainder of this week (last night and tonight) have been replaced with reruns on Comedy Central. It’s unclear whether the show will return to the air after this week, and exactly why new episodes have been suspended. As soon as any further details are announced we’ll let you know.
