CNBC now airing 1 hr episodes of Tonight

CNBC are now airing full one-hour episodes of The Tonight Show With Jay Leno instead of the 30-minute cutdown versions they usually air. The one-hour episodes are shown Monday-Friday at 11pm-12am UK time. The NBC Nightly News is no longer broadcast on CNBC – it used to air in the 11.30pm timeslot.

The Tonight Show With Jay Leno is still shown on a one-show delay from the US, and the normal 45-minute weekend episodes are still broadcast Saturdays and Sundays at 8pm and 8.45pm.

An update from CNBC regarding NBC Nightly News:

“NBC Nightly News will no longer be carried by CNBC in Europe. This is because of international distribution changes made by NBC Universal in the USA”

  1. Do you know why they’ve stopped broadcasting NBC Nightly News ? I didn’t found anything about that…

  2. I’ve emailed my contact at CNBC to see if it’s been dropped permanently or not. I’m guessing they just get more viewers watching The Tonight Show, instead of the Nightly News.
