Graham Norton and Alan Carr win at the British Comedy Awards

The annual British Comedy Awards hosted by Jonathan Ross were held in London tonight (12th December) and broadcast live on Channel 4. The Graham Norton Show won Best Comedy Entertainment Programme, although the ceremony was overrunning so his recorded acceptance speech was never broadcast. Alan Carr was also a winner – he won Best Comedy Entertainment Personality for his work on Alan Carr: Chatty Man. For a list of all of the winners click here.

Graham Norton’s marathon talk show The Big Chat took place live on BBC Three this week. The host & comedian took over the channel from 7pm to 1am on Thursday with a live talk show in aid of Comic Relief. Graham Norton to host marathon chat show for Comic Relief

Graham Norton is planning to a host a special 7-hour live edition of his chat show The Graham Norton Show in March for Comic Relief. The Sun reports the BBC are “booking up to 50 guests and singing acts for the monster chat-a-thon in March… the show will take over BBC3’s entire schedule from 7pm until 2am”.
