To mark the 50 year anniversary of The Beatles’ US breakthrough on The Ed Sullivan Show, the Late Show With David Letterman had a week of themed episodes. Also, a two-hour CBS special entitled “The Night That Changed America: A GRAMMY Salute To The Beatles” aired on CBS last night (Sunday) featuring David Letterman interviewing Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr inside The Ed Sullivan Theater.

He discussed his new book – We’ll Be Here For The Rest Of Our Lives – and also talked about growing up in Canada & playing bagpipes as his hometown was twinned with Scotland. The introduction with bagpipes he did at the start of the show was pretty hilarious.
