Jimmy Kimmel Live will move to an earlier timeslot on ABC next year. From January the programme will air at 11:35 instead of its current midnight slot – putting it in direct competition with the Late Show With David Letterman and The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. Jimmy Kimmel Live moves to midnight

ABC have moved Jimmy Kimmel Live to a slightly earlier timeslot. The Hollywood Reporter reports “ABC will start Kimmel at exactly midnight — instead of 12:05 a.m. — beginning Feb. 4. The move effectively shortens successful ABC News magazine Nightline (which begins at 11:35 p.m. after the late local news) by five minutes”.
