The Late Show celebrates its 20th anniversary

It was the 20th anniversary of the Late Show With David Letterman on the 30th August.

The programme premiered on CBS back in 1993 with Bill Murray as the first guest to be interviewed.

As the Late Show had a rerun scheduled for Friday 30th August this year this meant the anniversary show aired the night before on the 29th.

The anniversary episode featured Bill Murray once again as a guest and didn’t hold back – dressing up as Liberace, arriving in a luxurious car and digging up a “time capsule” buried underneath the guest chairs in the Ed Sullivan Theater that he supposedly buried after his appearance on the first ever Late Show:
