Writers strike – Reruns continue

Reruns continue for all the major US Late Night chat shows next week, due to the ongoing WGA writers strike – including the continuation of the Classic Tonight Show airings from the 1990s they started airing over the last week. The Late Show With David Letterman starts off the week with a rerun of “Tom Cruise, Jamie Oliver” (from 2nd May 2006), with other reruns to be announced for the rest of the week. The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Monday is a rerun of “Mel Gibson, Famke Janssen, Penn & Teller” (from 14th November 1995), Tuesday’s rerun is “David Copperfield, George Clooney, George Wallace” (from 24th November 1994) and Wednesday’s show “Chris Farley, Valeria Mazza, Tyra Banks, 8-year-old sports reporter Brett Murray” first aired on 25th January 1996 – reruns for Thursday and Friday are to be announced. Late Night With Conan O’Brien has some more recent reruns for Monday and Tuesday next week that first aired in October of this year – “Jennifer Connelly, Fred Willard, Animal Collective” on Monday (from 5th October 2007) and “Tracy Morgan, Emile Hirsch, A.J. Jacobs” on Tuesday (from 10th October 2007). Reruns for the rest of the week are to be announced. The Daily Show With Jon Stewart reruns include the Jerry Seinfield show on Monday, which first aired on 1st November 2007, and the Matt Damon episode on Tuesday from 2nd August 2007.
